Beautiful little church with unique turquoise roof at one end .
It has great views of the port from its vantage point.
You could easily miss it coming into Porto Cerva, so keep an eye out for it.

The Stella Maris is a true symbol of the Costa Smeralda. A beautiful, yet simple, church that keeps watch over the opulent marina below. Different works of art may be admired inside the church, like the Mater Dolorosa attributed to El Greco, an organ from the 17th century, local juniper wood pews, and the massive bronze doors with bas-reliefs representing the theme of the Annunciation.

This rather strange-looking church is located above the town and is quite an unique site.
From there you have a great view of the bay and the marina.

Cool looking church in a very scenic setting. Simple and inviting interior. Makes for a nice walk from town, with good views along the way.

The whitewashed exterior of Stella Maris is prominent landmark looking over the Porto Cuervo harbour. Inside, this Gaudi-esque style church has a stunning, yet simple interior, complete with an El Greco painting hanging near the door. The church was built in the 1960s and designed by Michele Busiri Vici. Very peaceful.

It's a beautiful church, worth a detour if you're interested in 60s architecture. A bit Gaudi-esque with its curves, and a lovely cool interior. The El Greco painting is a draw, but opposite it there is a series of 12 white tiles depicting stages of the trial, crucifixion and resurrection of Christ which for me are at least as good. You can park in front of it if you take the straight-on road at the sharp bend on the way down to the marina (Via Sa Conca).
We found Porto Cervo to be otherwise a disappointment. There is nothing real there. All the houses are fakes and there are few interesting shops. But much of the parking is free so you could take a few minutes to wander around it.

Stella Maris is a beautiful church designed by Arch. Busiri Vici. The same Arch designed the nearby Hotel Luci di La Muntagna, the Hotel Romazzino and many private villas in Costa Smeralda
