This chapel which is also referred to as the new chapel is chock-a-block with frescoes by Signorelli and Fa Angelico. The Signorelli frescoes are vigorous and filled with figures, surprisingly mostly naked, undergoing the last judgement or debating the theory of the anti-Christ. There is...More

The intricate outside just prefaces the beauty held within. One of the prettiest chapels in Italy. A must see

Amazing facade, with amazing details. So rich and tells the story of all the bible sequences. Very interesting to visit inside and outside.

What a pleasure to actually be able to spend as much time as I wished to view the amazing art tucked away in this small hill town! Bonus! No huge crowds like you will find in Milan, Venice, Florence or Rome!

Seriously one of the prettiest chapels in italy. The chapel is covered in gold and the stories and depictions are interesting to look at.

Entering the Duomo you feel a little underwhelmed after the flashy façade but push on to the two chapels either side of the alter. Amazing detail and vivid colours.

we visited orvieto last year but the duomo was under construction so we could not enter. So happy we returned this year for mass, which was very special. The many paintings are spectacular as is the small chapel to the left of the sacristy.

Once inside the Duomo this little chapel is towards the front on the right. Absolutely incredible paintings on the walls and ceiling. Would’ve been nice to have a guide to explain each of the paintings and the story that goes along with them.
