Superb museum dedicated to the Etruscans who were the early settlers of the Orvieto region of Italy. Well laid out and displayed for easy viewing it was well worth the 4.5€ admission. It is a must for any ancient history buff.

The museum was begun by a single individual who did his own excavations. There are hundreds of interesting and well-preserved items, especially coins, vases, and pottery. Boring for kids but nice for those with a historical interest.

I am not an art expert so I was very impressed by the similarity of Greek and Etruscan pottery. You can find hundreds of ancient pottery, but also jewellery etc. in an excellent state.

This museum is directly facing the cathedral with wonderful views from the first and second floors. For me the highlights of the exhibition were the Attic black-figure and red-figure vases but all the artefacts are of interest with a reasonable amount of information in English....More
