If you are traveling to Montecatini, Terme, there are two trains stations less than a quarter mile apart....and most trains stop at both. We stayed at the Tuscany Inn which is just on the other side of the tracks from the train station. They were smart enough to add a new tunnel access to Via Cividale, the street where the... More

Caught the train to Florence, Fun time, On time. Our fellow hotel occupants all used this train station to visit the bigger cities in Italy.

We caught the train at 7:30 AM and saw no one to help us get tickets. Thankfully, there was another passenger who spoke English and gave us some great tips for travel on the various roads. The trip was swift and comfortable with no crowding.

This train station is easy to find and navigate. There are some gypsys that hang around offering to help you get your tickets for some change but if you ignore them, you'll be fine. They pose no danger.

We used the most eastern of the two stations in Montecatini and found it quite easy to use and clean. It is so convenient for getting to Florence, from where you can get a train or bus to almost anywhere you might wish to go in Italy. And the fare is not bad either.

Best way to travel to Florence from Montecatini. Inexpensive and convenient. Locals were helpful and showed us how to validate tickets.

You can buy your tickets from box-office or machine. Machines provide other language options and were useful. It was so easy to reach Pisa from here

tickets purchased at the station. Easy access. Comfortable ride. Great ride right into Florence. The stations have great shops in there. Be prepared with euros to use bathroom!
