We traveled from Florence to Venice by train. I used the bathrooms which was very clean. We walked from the train station to buy a ferry pass. The train station was also walking distance to the bus stop. Great planning and it all works

Arrived from Trieste. The train continued to historic Venice, but most people seemed to get off at Mestre. Platform was overcrowded and was difficult to manouver with suitcases.

Excellent for people visiting Venice. You can stay in the Best Western right opposite the station. The train to Venice takes 8 minutes and costs E1.30. Tickets can be purchased from Tobacco shop in station.

Worth it and efficient. The trains leave at different times. don't forget to validate your ticket. its not situated at a convenient spot. You could get fined if you don't.
