After having reviewed the Galli Fedele school, it seems right to me to give some "tips" to those who visit Livigno for the first time, sharing my modus operandi considering that at the beginning I had small children...
My point of reference has always been Dos 18 because, as already mentioned, it has a track reserved for those who want to learn, so you never find yourself on crowded sections..
At dos 18 it is possible to purchase ski passes, book lessons and reach the place comfortably either by car or by bus; with the car the car park is located about 50 meters from the lifts but the climb to reach it is often covered in snow so if you have a front-wheel drive car without suitable tires it's not good, you'll have to park elsewhere. Another great ENORMOUS convenience are the lockers that you can rent for a week for approximately €25 per locker where you can store your skis and boots always at dos 18 and you will find the facilities about 10 meters from where you put your boots on, this entails, especially with small children , to arrive on the lifts comfortably with snow boots and find warm boots and skis. In each locker there is space for two pairs of skis and two pairs of boots with heating system. Another HUGE comfort is a "relax room" with bathroom, table and a very comfortable sofa where you can stop and eat if the weather outside doesn't allow it, or where those who don't ski can find a comfortable place to stay warm while looking at the slope. If the weather is good there are often deckchairs where you can sunbathe while watching or waiting for the "skiers".

My trip to Livigno was not only a vacation for my 13 years old and 17 years old children, but also a first time experience for me. After seeing the Bellavista from the top of the Alps, I couldn't help but asking for a new equipment, a skipass and a good teacher for myself. Therefore, this was the first time in my life after 48 years when I managed to ski down a slope only after 2 and a half hours with the help from an exceptional ski instructor, Franco Bernardi!
When I told him about my age and the fact, that I hadn't skied before and that I was very afraid of accidents (I had already broken my arm very badly at ice skating in 2013), Franco told me: "Nothing is impossible!" And I did it!

We have recently returned from a week’s skiing in Livigno, this is our 4th visit to the resort and we wouldn’t ski anywhere else now it has amazing runs for every ability. Myself and my son had private lessons again with Franco and he is so good. He speaks very good English and we learnt a lot from him and improved so much in the week. Thank you Franco for all your patience and for showing us some amazing runs. We will definitely be back next year. Tracey and Callum 😁

We took 6 days ski school for our daughter and nobody told us about final race children have, so we didn’t watch her and mist the race !!! We heard that it was when we came to pick her up that day.
Poor organisation when they don’t think how my daughter felt im that day!

Adore Livigno resort for amazing views and great slopes. The prices are super good, since it is located in duty free zone. Ski School is nicely located right near the bus stop (which is free of charge for tourists by the way). Recommend to everyone!

We had 7 days of brilliant sunshine, sapphire blue skies, and perfectly groomed slopes with nicely forgiving snow. The terrain is mostly intermediate and the skiers are mostly pretty good. There is heli skiing and boarding. The initial take off point for the heliski in Livigno is at the helicopter apron of Carosello 3000 or Mottolino.

I'd say my favourite slopes were in the Federia area (really dramatic landscape) on the Livigno side and the Della Neve area on the Trepalle side. Monte Sponda had some nice gentle runs as well. It's just too bad that the two sides are not interconnected. To ski both sides, one needs to take a bus from one side to the other. The Livigno side is most sunny in the morning although by 10 am the Trepalle side is sunny, too. From the Cassana lift on the far end of Livigno, it is very easy to work your way across to the Carosello 3000 and Federia lifts and then back again, using an easy traverse for the return from Blesaccia to Valandrea Vetta. We alternated between the Livigno and Trepalle sides.

Livigno is a duty free zone, like airports and cruise ship ports; it's got many many perfume, cigarette, liquor, jewelry and makeup shops. It has quite a few supermarkets, too, as many people stay in chalets and cook for themselves. Saturday in the markets (changeover day) is a zoo. Check out Sandi Market on Via Ostaria -- it is a most impressive gourmet food market with fabulous meats, cheeses, condiments and a liquor store downstairs that is extraordinary.

Petrol and diesel are very inexpensive and many drive from neighbouring countries to ski here and fill up. The majority of visitors, I'd say by the languages heard on the lifts, the slopes and in the restaurants, were from Russia, the Czech Republic, Poland and the Balkans.

The "outlets" for clothing were mostly very expensive because they carry ridiculously expensive brands. I found it boring that the shops were all so similar. I did not see one interesting pottery or craft store. I wouldn't be able to tell you what the area is known for. There are a few cheap tourist shops that also carry all the same stuff. There is also very limited selection in restaurants, most of which are pizza and pasta. Try Roxy's for excellent thin crust pizza.

There are a few things to do outside of skiing. There is a cross-country track that runs between the two ski areas. There is downhill mountain biking, horseback trekking, snowshoeing, etc. A lovely area overall. Beautiful but long (4.5h) drive from Milan along the shores of Lake Como, much of the way through tunnels.

Livigno is 2000 meter above the sea. The highest mountain top - 3000m.
There are plenty of well served ski slopes, long enough. Mostly Red level.
I was surprised that in April it was snowy.
Some days were pretty cold and windy. -13 degree by C at night and -7 degree in the morning. But generally daily temperature was +2 +3.
The Town has a lot of small hotels, restaurants, shops, and the kid's club.
Livigno is duty free zone, so shopping here is great.
For the summer time they have many different activities: bilking, hiking, water park, horse back riding and others.

Just came back from a weeks skiing with my husband who is more of an intermediate compared to myself, first time for me on ski's and very nervous. I did the beginners class with Simone for 5 mornings which was so much fun, Simone is friendly, encouraging and understands everyone's weaknesses and strengths. I also booked a one to one for four 1 hour sessions with Franco to try gain confidence and more practice, again very professional and extremely happy guy! Definitely will be returning next year and booking with this ski school! Thank so much for making my holiday!

We stayed in Livigno Costaccia mountain side, and it was a pleasant experience. We got up the mountain every morning with Costaccia ski lift, which is very modern, and from there could ski to the Tagliede Costaccia ski lift (you can get in in middle station, where the raindeers are). The slopes were very well groomed, the Valandrea Vetta lift gets quite busy at 10:30 - 11:30, but is very good earlier and later. From Costaccia you can also reach Carosello 3000, just get early to beat the crowds.
