Went there twice during our stay in Lerici! The view of the Golfo dei Poeti was incredible. Good for an evening romantic walk. We managed to get in for free as they had some sort of modern art exhibition that day

Overlooking Lerici village and Bay is this ancient fort. Frequently host art exposition, probably to give some new fame to this old (and a bit forgotten by local) monument. Great views over the Lerici Gulf and Golfo dei Poeti toward Portovenere.

Enjoyed walking to this location that we could see from our room's balcony. Lots of stairs and a quaint route through narrow streets. You cannot go inside, but the location provides views. Nice fish restaurant nearby and you go through the fishing area.

We went to the castle and were surprised that the visit was free on that day, the view on Lerici, San Terezano, the whole Golfo dei Poeti is just impressive. One that day an exhibition of a japanese artist was held in the castello and we had the honour to talk with his wife. Unfortunately we couldn't take a lot... More

Lovely medevian castle up on the hill. It is well worth the effort to walk up the hill and take photos. The castle and the museum is closed, due to renovation, so the place is quiet and peaceful. We didn't miss the tourist crowds, on the contrary this is the real thing. There is also a palace nearby, undergoing reconstruction... More

While the village is small and unassuming, the views from the castello are certainly worthy of the walk. Great to pack a picnic lunch and sit amoungst the terraced houses at the base of the castle. The castle is simple in structure but enjoys a magnificent position jutting out towards the water. A couple of hours is all you need... More

The castle has a prominent position overlooking the beautiful village of Lerici. The vista from here is magnificent. The castle can be reached from Lerici by stairs that offer a good workout as you make your way to the top. There is a collection of dinosaurs in its Museo Geopaleontologico.

We were here on a rainy day in October, and the castello was closed, but we still enjoyed the views from here across the bay, and of Lerici and San Terenzo - as well as the close-up of the castello itself. You can walk up, but for people with trouble walking uphill, or for baby strollers or such, there is... More

Not far from the beach, visitors can climb to the top to see a beautiful view of the entire village. History aficionados and museum lovers will enjoy the exhibits inside the castle, though there is an entry fee. Unfortunately, many places of the Castle are sometimes closed to visitors.

OK, only about the walk up and the views from the top. You don't get to go inside the castle and you can walk around the other side of the castle and down to the beach there.
