Beautiful Cathedral

One of the symbols of the City. Perfect place to visit, or to sit on the stairs and tasting a good ice cream

There are two entrances to this Duomo on each side of the building...which is unique. The inside has stain glass windows that are very nice and colorful. Worth strolling in.

One of those "attractions" you feel you "have to" see, but not the most impressive place we've been to.

In Italy there are so many buildings called cathedral which in most countries certainly would not be. This building has nothing special other than barouq altar pictures.

This duomo has its original entrance plus a more decorative facade built on the side to see as you walk into the piazza. There is a tall bell tower too that is quite ornate.

What can you say about old. All of these buildings are all marvels. Just think, years on most hundreds or thousands of years and still standing. Incredable. You shouldn't miss lecce.

First built in 12th century and rebuilt in 17th century under the guidance of architect Giuseppe Zimbalo - one of the most prominent artists of the so-called Baroque of Lecce. When you reach the cathedral through Piazza Duomo you see the striking facade, thinking it's the main one - well, you're wrong, it's the side entrance although much more appreciated... More

A stunning Baroque vision, spectacularly lit at night. Have not yet been inside (later today) but breathtakingly exuberant by night. I don't much like Baroque (too frothy) but if you do, you may not be able to handle this it is so excessive - in a good way.

Another amazing European church in an amazing place--Lecce is a cool Italian town that was a little out of the way but well worth visiting not your typical tourist trap but a true Italian town Highly recommend
