Special opening on Friday 27th and Saturday, January 28 from 02.30 PM to 05.30 PM. Acquired by the Province of Imperia in 2002, the villa has been open for the first time to the public on January 17, 2010. The complete recovery of the noble plans, in full respect of their original features, it again revealed the splendor and sophisticated opulence. Called "stone" Circus for the many references to the circus world that can be identified in many architectural details (lamps, columns, decorations, balustrades, uneven, frescoes ...), influenced by Art Nouveau, but undeniably also plagued by the taste of artists contemporary Grock. The complete recovery of the garden, both from the point of view of the flora and for the consolidation of facilities, allows today to rediscover the atmosphere designed by the same Adrien Wettach, of which tells a great passion for plants. The well-defined walkways invite to walks, while all around the columns melted, the bold arches, absolutely unique decorations, fountains and a pond with its bridge of oriental inspiration, they are the completion of a striking setting and fabulous. The palatial mansion and original greatest clowns of "Grock" history, reborn thanks to a cultural project, based on new technologies .. In Villa restored, was set up a path, immersive and magical dedicated to professionals of the circus and, in particular , the art of the clown. The Villa is also open during the weekdays by reservation only for groups with a minimum of 10 participants.

Villa Grock is set in a beautiful secluded little spot on the hills behind Oneglia, with a wonderful view across the bay. The house itself is fascinating; as eccentric and interesting as Adrien Wettach’s history and life there. Now recently restored, it spent several years...More

This full restored, whimsical villa has been opened as a state of the art museum dedicated to the Art of the Clown. A perfect, kid friendly, interactive museum. A must!

We got to see the place from outside as it was closed. Follow the signs for Villa Grock and the winding road and you will see it.
