An exhilarating day out at the Vittoriale degli Italiani.
A breathtakingly beautiful villa set in a carefully manicured park with exciting historical objects spanning centuries. Features include half a frigate, a submarine, an amphitheatre built in the Roman style for open air performances, a cascade running down a ravine ending in a series of hammer ponds that can be reached via purposely built steps. This is an outdoor adventure in a natural setting with magnificent views of Garda Lake..

    A charmingly weird landscaping experience.
Quite a fun park (I didn't do the house). This is more a garden for landscaping, vistas, and interesting things to look at, sculpture etc. If you are expecting floral displays, then this is not the botanic garden for you. It has an impressive location cascading down the hillside with two ravines, and includes such features as an amphitheatre, mausoleum, and boat that's been moored _on the hillside_. Quite charming and random throughout. For anyone who's been to the Winchester Mystery House, John Soames, or Portmeirion, there's a similar vibe here. Recommended.

A peek into the mind of someone very artistic.
This is truly a one of a kind experience tucked away in Gardone Riviera and well worth finding. The house tour adds only a small amount to the general entrance price and is great value. The rooms are incredible to see packed with a variety of items collected by the owner and creating a wonderful collection. Given the house is 100 years old much of it was well before it’s time with flushing toilets which would not look out of place today, and one of Italy’s first telephones. I could have done the tour again. The grounds are very big and include a number of fascinating artworks and other items. Pride of place has to go to the bow of a naval warship which sits incongruously amid the trees overlooking the lake and is a spectacular sight. The whole attraction is pretty much unsuited to anyone with mobility issues due to the uneven ground, numerous steps and steep gradients. However that aside it is an amazing place to visit and definitely one of a kind.

I cannot rate this lower than 1. But it deserves 0. Even small kids cost 12 euro; the same as an adult. Outrageous since as a tourist, you cannot just leave the kids to bake in the car in the Italian summer heat. You have to bring them along and pay for them effectively multiplying your ticket cost by the amount of kids you’ve brought along. Most of the presentation is in Italian and there’s no chance for kids to understand much. This is by all means a tourist trap money machine and I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to skip it and spend their time and money somewhere else.

During our week's holiday last August in Sirmione, one day we took the ferry and went to Gardone Riviera to visit the Vittoriale degli Italiani, after booking the visit online.
Gardone Riviera is a very small and charming town that has a lower part on the lake and an upper part directly above.
The Vittoriale is located in the upper part and can be reached in about a quarter of an hour on foot uphill on the road.
We visited both Gabriele D'Annunzio's house and the entire park.
The house left us speechless, it is something you absolutely must visit to understand what an exceptional museum of art and history it is.
Our guide was really very good and thorough in answering our questions and explained and illustrated each environment in detail.
The park is very large and unfortunately we didn't have time to visit it all, but the ship, the tombs, the gardens, the cars are something to absolutely see.
You can feel the atmosphere of the time.
I recommend a visit to everyone because you will leave enriched by culture and history.

I return for the second time to this wonderful Villa full of sensations, emotions and charm.
D'Annunzio loves or hates you.
At times he is selfish at times altruistic, nationalistic and revolutionary, rude and elegant.
For me every Italian should once in a lifetime see this wonder.
The interior of the house that you visit with the Guide in groups of 6/8 people at most is to be done, I Recommendation to book it in advance and strictly respect the schedules!
The guides, are not simple guides, but enthusiasts and scholars, help you to enter this beautiful home and appreciate all the wonders.
The outdoor gardens are beautiful, but not like the interior of the house.
The ship... It's amazing.
What the charismatic man left us is a unique legacy!

Marvelous! I recommend purchasing the full ticket to be able to visit the house with the guide, as well as the garden and museums. The projection of the video inside the theater was useful as it provided more information on the place.

Large and comfortable parking, for a fee, honest entrance ticket, I did not visit the house because I had limited times. The park can be turned independently, the ticket also includes admission to the various museums along the way. All very well signposted, with signs for explanations of the various works .. quiet walk part in the sun and part in the shade, some pieces uphill slight and scale.Meraviglioso.

Caught the dottto train from the lakeside to save walking. It is a bit hilly in places. There was a cafe on site and also a couple of separate ones at the main entrance. We had a guide in English who was very good at explaining about the poet and how he lived. A good tour of the rooms although they were a bit dark and a strange collection of objects displayed. He seemed a bit eccentric in the things he did
and how he did it. There is the front of a full size battle ship that the guy had taken apart and then installed in the mountain side completed with guns. Extensive gardens but not floral. Lots of statues everywhere.

The Vittoriale park is beautiful but poorly maintained despite the high cost of the ticket and alone does not justify the trip to Gardone.
In mid-December, Gardapost published the free event without reservations on December 30th.
Once there we only had access to the park the house had been booked online at a compensatory cost of €8.
Anyone who has seen the park for free and not the house must return by booking and purchasing a full ticket online, thus nullifying the park's free gift. Super correct, right?

We stayed on the banks of Gardone and then went to the Vittoriale degli Italiani on foot with a beautiful but short walk in the greenery to then reach our destination. Let me start by saying that I had already bought the tickets online and so we immediately entered without any problem. What can I say...... simply magnificent, with the guides explaining everything so thoroughly that they send you back in time. I highly recommend it to everyone, an experience to be had absolutely. Once the tour at the "Prioria" was finished, they went independently around the immense park and finally to the Mausoleum where you can see the whole of Lake Garda. Once everything was finished we went for lunch in the local restaurants that are adjacent to the Vittoriale. Show. If you need further information, please write.

Many things to see to spend a day of culture and enjoy a wonderful view. Entry to D'Annunzio's apartment, a true serial accumulator, full of objects of artistic value, is limited. We hadn't found a place online, but having arrived early in the morning they still found us an entry time. Very good guide. The garden and the ship are also beautiful.
