Just the right size to get a sense of palazzo life

This is a remarkable residence dating from the 16th century the frescoes are extraordinary and the rooms are full of fantastic antique furniture. You can imagine what it would have been like to live here. I loved it. Don't miss it.

It was a long walk from center city to see a medium sized palazzo, but the ceilings were great. There were some pieces of period furniture, but all-in-all, this site is not a top place to see in Ferrara.

We liked this palazzo primarily because it wasn't overwhelming. The painted ceilings and the furniture gave one a sense of what it must have been like to live there--it didn't feel too much like a museum, and there wasn't the sense of being watched all the time by guards. A good experience.

This Palazzo has some ceiling paintings including one outside the main building that mimics a vegetal cover. Some period furniture is unfortunately now covered by insipid modern"art works". Altogether not compelling

A bit out of the way, but worth the walk you feel this is areal home that was lived in. It is filled with beautifully carved furniture and tables and chairs. Ferrarese Terzo de'Terzi is credited with designing this house for Princess Marfisa of Este (1555-1608) and built by her husband, Francesco of Este, Marquis of Massalombarda. Beautiful ceilings decorated... More

Interesting so called "small palace" in Ferrara but nice and it gives a good idea of how the richer people lived in that period.

This palace is another 'delizia' a bit out of the route, but well worth a visit. It is all on one floor, with 6 beautiful rooms, one into another, with frescoes, wooden ceilings, pictures and period furniture that recreate a wonderful Renaissance feeling. You can buy a combined ticket with the Schifanoia palace and the Cathedral Museum and tour the... More
