Home of some of the best frescoes that l have seen on this trip, built originally for the ESte family, this is a place that you will want to visit, only 2 rooms to view, but so much to see, afterwards relax in the garden

This renaissance palace built for the D'Este family allows us to see two rooms, one of which contains the amazing frescoes showing the months of the year. Light levels are kept very low to protect the frescoes, but it is sufficient to enjoy them. The...More

The frescoes about the months of the year are really worth a visit, some are damaged, but nevertheless do not miss it. Better with a guide because they are full of symbols which you might miss. Then head to the nice coffee shop in the...More

We bought the combination ticket of museums in Ferrara, and this was included. The vast hall covered with frescoes was wonderful, and my husband and I spent quite a while photographing small detailed portions that attracted us. I wish I had consulted the reviews here...More

We found this to be a very interesting place for coffee. We sat in the garden which had trees with elegant dresses hanging on them. Wonderful atmosphere and we'll worth a visit.

Unmissable. What remains of the magnificent frescoes portraying the Este court at play, and a series of horoscope paintings is a delight for the eyes. Spot Duke Borso d'Este among the figures, riding on his horse, meeting the people, out hunting, watching a palio and...More

The Palazzo has some old and great Frescos but that is about it. Given the number of glowing reviews we had read we expected a little more. If old Fresco's are your thing you'll love it. If not you might feel a little let down.
