Our cruise came here apparently for the ruins close to the city. We had seen many ruins and decided to go into the city and see the castle. After walking the two streets we were told there was good shopping, we decided to see the...More

It's worth the easy climb up to see a great view of the walls & sea. You can walk through the ruins and explore.

There's a single well-preserved tower, ramparts open till 7 pm and some museums open only in the morning, when we prefer staying on the beach. Half an hour before closing the alarm was actuated about three times, so I couldn't figure out when it was...More

A must wander thru! The ground were pretty, several feral cats followed us. :) The castle itself is beautiful and seems to be people living in apartments within the wall!

As it quite a high spot in the town above the harbour you have a very goo view of the costline line. And Amy 10 years old boy of Amy age like the towers, walls and fortifications.

The castle is next to the Centro Storico or old town. Combine the 2 and you have a good day out. You can walk through the old town down to the Duomo and find plenty of bars for a coffee

Massive castle with commanding view of the nearby seaport and the city. Parking in the area wasn't difficult. Like many castles, you only can visit the general outside area. But there is enough to allow your imagination to picture the history of the various battles.

I enjoyed the views of the ocean and the city which can be seen from here without any obstacles. Not too much to see of the castello itself though.
