Gary and Katerina hosted a group of 6 of us (2 couples and 2 singles) for a tour of Slovenia and Croatia. The experience was marvelous and met all my expectations. This is my third tour with Right Path, having previously done their Dolomite and Nepal tours. This tour is less physical but offers walks and hikes every day of the tour. Gary supplements his knowledge of the region with local guides at specific locations. Croatia and especially Slovenia are less crowded than mainline European tourist destinations and are a very good value. Encourage anyone looking for a tour away from the maddening crowd to consider this tour before the crowd discovers this off-the-beaten-path part of Europe.

Another fantastic tour / trek with Gary and Katarina - this time trekking through out of the way spots in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. From national parks to waterfalls, truffle hunting to mountain climbing and some cave exploration thrown in. Gary and Kararina knew all the spots, beat the crowds, filled us with magical knowledge about local areas, and found us a beautiful family winery to stay on our last evening. Do yourself a favour if this is what you’re looking for. Thanks again Gary and Katarina. We’re looking forward to our 3rd trip again soon.

We had soooo much fun on our trip hiking through the Dolomites. It truly was a magical adventure. Everyday we looked back and said it couldn't get any better, but guess what, the next day was even better. Gary knows the Dolomites and where to hike. Katrina knows how to connect with your heart and make it a memorable experience. They took us to some magical places. And the hotel where we stayed was great, with great views, great food, great staff, great owners... It was just a great place to come back to after our hikes. I chose to take a dip in the indoor pool (of course with an amazing view of the Dolomites. Thank you Gary and Katrina for all the care you put into these tours. They are magical!!

We went to the dolomites with Right Path Adventures (Gary Scott and Katarina). The trip will be one of the most memorable magical trips I have ever taken. The hikes were varied and the scenery breathtaking. The hotel we stayed in the Dolomites was incredible. There were eight of us traveling together-- some avid hikers and some not so avid. Gary put together hikes that worked for all of us. Gary had great knowledge about the area, history, trails and the best places to stop for morning coffee and strudel and fabulous lunches! The experience with Right Path Adventures was so wonderful that I would without hesitation take another of Gary's tours!

We just finished a Dolomites hike with Gary and Katarina of Right Path Adventures, and there are not enough words to express the experience that we had. If you’re lucky enough to go on this trip, you are lucky enough! They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, safe & happy. He is so filled with knowledge of the area. And the scenery is not like anything most people have ever experienced, every day we didn’t think the views could be topped and every day they were! Every day he would bring us to a new refugio/restaurant for lunch, and every single day the food was outstanding. Coordination with the lodging made it a very stress-free adventure.

I have hiked with Gary twice. First in the Dolomites and then in Nepal. I have every confidence in his abilities and decision-making in the mountains to provide a safe and incredible trip. His communications pre-trip ensured we were prepared. Accommodations and food selections were varied and superb. I learned to drink Radlers in the Dolomites, my new favorite summer beverage. Do it! Saluti!

My husband and I, with 4 close friends; did 2 back-to-back tours with Right Path Adventures! It was all that I hoped for - FANTASTIC! I especially loved the Dolomites - the natural beauty and the awesome resort where we stayed. It was wonderfully planned by our guide, Gary Scott, the founder of Right Path Adventures. We usually hiked 7-10 miles/day and there was always a great traditional lunch to be had in a Refugio (a sort of rustic cabin/restaurant along the trail). We utilized gondolas and other people movers to explore the mountains high and low. Gary and his wife Katerina were always vigilant, keeping eyes on our group so that no one was left behind and warned us if an upcoming spot was slippery, etc. Truly knowledgeable and attentive trip leaders. Oh, and the resort that Gary selected -- fabulous spreads for breakfast, a pool, hot tub and exquisite sauna after hikes - And gourmet dinners to finish each day. SO GOOD! We continued on to see the splendors of Croatia and Slovenia where Gary selected gems of beauty, history, and culture (and ALWAYS wonderful food!) in every place we went. The national parks were stunning places of waterfalls, lakes, gorges, and mountains. Rovinj and Ljubljana were beautiful old cities with much history to soak in, and stellar artisans. Great wine throughout the trip, too. I will always remember this trip as an all-time favorite vacation!!!

Six friends ventured out on The Right Path with Gary Scott. Who would have thought a 2 week trip could be so fun filled and diverse? We booked back to back trips, Dolomites Hiking and Croatia & Slovenia walking. We hiked 7-10 miles per day and didn't even notice the effort since we were surrounded with natural beauty. Gary took great care of us with his area expertise and planning. He kept us away from touristy crowds and made us feel like explorers. We had time to enjoy picnic lunches, refugio meals, elegant dinners and shopping. We even had time to ourselves to explore Corvara, Cortina, Rovinj, Ljubljana, Lake Bled and Bohinj. Gary even booked private tours for us in Rovinj and Ljubljana. Gary's knowledge of safety, local history and local trails really made the trip special. He even threw in a few surprises, which continue to keep us chuckling and smiling. We had a day of rain and we had some fun with it. We have stories that will last a lifetime. His model of small groups (6-8) is ideal. We were in good hands and definitely took the Right Path.

I participated in the Croatia/Slovenia adventure in early October 2022. This trip has the right combination of activity, history, nature and city/village life tailored to the people in the group. Each day included walking, hiking and even an e-bike tour. Just when you thought it couldn't get more beautiful it did, over and over again!
Gary and Katarina genuinely love what they do and it shows in the care they take to provide a fabulous vacation. Our accommodations were comfortable, clean and within walking distance of restaurants and fun activities in each location.
This was the perfect adventure for me and I look forward to joining Right Path Adventures again in the Dolomites!

Right Path Adventures is a fun, professional and knowledgeable tour company, and I highly recommend them. I had the pleasure of taking one of their walking tours in the Dolomites in the summer of 2022. Gary and Katarina are wonderful tour guides who care deeply making sure the folks on their tour are enjoying themselves. The hikes were beautiful and the hotel locations were terrific.

Hello Gary,
We are planning on visiting dolomites around mid November. Could you please advise on weather conditions and which hiking tours could be done in this period.
Best,
Aditi

Ciao Aditi, sorry if this is a repeat, I tried to answer you on my phone and maybe it did not go through. The Dolomites - like many summer and winter resort areas - closes down late September so in November nothing will be open, most towns are dead, and most hiking trails not really doable. Better to head south at that time of year and come back to the Dolomites mid-June through mid-September.
All the best. Gary S.
Hello Gary,
How much is a Dolomite hiking tour ? Solo for 4 days?
Thank you
Gary S
Corvara in Badia, Italy47 contributions
Hello, please check our website for more details, dates and availability - our regular five day (one day travel) Dolomite tours cost $2,995 per person (an no single supplement so you get your own room with attached bath at no additional cost), but we could do a pro-rated rate for four days. Be great to show you around the amazing Dolomites and show you my secret spots - cheers and thanks for contacting Right Path Adventures.

How much is this tour?
Gary S
Corvara in Badia, Italy47 contributions
Hello Shellie, it depends on the number of people and exactly what you want to do with your day and if you wanted just a driving tour or to do some walking in the Dolomites as well. We only do private tours which would start at 500 euros per day for 8 hours round trip Venice to Venice. ciao, Gary
