Question: Is there a early morning departure for cable car in order to see the sunrise ? Because I saw some people saying that they did it.

You must visit TOFANA if you are in Dolomites. Three sections of cable gondolas will take you on top. The view is amazing. Try to go on a clear and sunny day.

The tofana cable car system was excellent and easy to use. The operators was nice and the views were stunning. The bars were also nice as well. Definitely a must when visiting.

Absolutely the most thrilling thing I did on our trip to the Dolomittes. Took the first cable car to the first plateau. Had a walk around the Observatory, enjoyed the views and bathed in the sun. Went to take the second cable car, and was told there had been a serious accident higher up. Turned out a basejumper had plunged to his death so we had a two and a half hour wait while they recovered the body. All cable cars were haulted. So sad.Enjoyed a meat platter and a beer at the Masi winebar while waiting.Took the second cable car up. Walked around, took in the views. There was also a restaurant serving pizza. Then we took the last cable car to Cima Tofana. I have a fear of heights so this was slightly terrifying for me. The car goes straight up to the mountain top and you disembark on to a large terrace. Magnificent views all around🤩 But I really felt as though I had the world at my feet. Was very glad to get back down on to firm ground. Highly recommend!!! A once in a lifetime experience for me!!

Probably not so good for a complete beginner but a moderately competent skier can find reliable powder and ice. A mix of lifts, one rather archaic the new one a chair with a middle station may come as a surprise to some. The café/ restaurant is very pleasant and has super views.

Probably my favorite place with astounding views of the Italian Alps, west of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The last cable car stop at 3225 meters, is often closed during the winter season.

The most famous And highest montains in the valley of cortina d’ampezzo, if you have time especially in summer you’ll can get the top by cable car and if the sky is really clear, you’ll could see the laguna of Venice........

Took a guided climb up the Ra Bujela Via Ferrata at the top of the Chairlift. It is a relatively short, but exhilarating nonetheless, via ferrata with spectacular views of Tofana and the entire Cortina d'Ampezzo region.

As part of a seven day hike, we walked through some of the Tofana area and stayed at Rif Giussani Hutte. Even though we had snow in September, it was stunning and well worth the effort.
