Almost nothing is left of the original church - everything was rebuilt between the 17th and the 18th century. The cathedral looks bare, and there are no paintings worth a detour for viewing. If you are already in Chioggia, a visit is OK.

The building is imposing in a town where the buildings are on a less grand scale to other towns and cities. It is in the centre from which you can walk the bridges and draw in the atmosphere.
