    Currently partly under repair
The middle and back cannot be seen but you can still go up the towers (cost a few euro). However if you go up the mountain the view will obviously be much better. Nice church but nothing amazing

    Love Sicily
Love Sicily, a specially the place where we stayed Cefalu. Beautiful small town with amazing bars and restaurants. Also the Etna which btw was not sleeping was cool to see. And absolutely beautiful Taormina on that way. I can wait to go back :)

    Interesting site.
We visited the Duomo and got the tickets to visit the towers and roof. Minor disappointment, the mosaic in the nave was in restoration, so we did not get to see it. The views from the towers are interesting. The inside of the church is very plain and austere. In a way the outside is more unique, very reflective of the Norman influence on the island.

If you like mosaics- it is known to have the most elegant one in Sicily
We visited this free UNESCO World Heritage site-as part of our walking tour of Cefalu. It looks like a fortified castle. It was built between 1131 and 1240 by the Norman King Roger 11. The attached cloister is the oldest in Sicily. IT is opened every day from 8-12:45 and 3:30-5:45.

The exterior of this Duomo is magnificent
When we visited this Duomo some thirty years ago, we could only see the decoration of the apse and admired the mosaic of the Christos Pantocrator. The entrance and the nave were under restoration, so we could not see them. During all these years, my wife was so sad about that and we were delighted about this trip - finally, we will see the whole church! Alas, now we know that due to the shortage of money, only the altar and the apse were decorated. During this visit, we could see only the bare walls of the front part, as the altar and the apse were under restoration! Despite that, we recommend a visit to this church - it is fantastic!

wonderful building and surely the highlight of this beautiful town. the interior of the cathedral got rather crowded but it's worth paying the 10-13 euros to see the roof, cloister and museums, which were peaceful and interesting

We had heard so much about the mosaics in the dumo. But it came as a large disappointment because there was a huge curtain in front of where the mosaics with a photo and not the real thing. The mosaic was being refurbished.

The mosaics are completely hidden by renovation works at the end of September2023 - not a very interesting visit at the moment.

Amazing place. We were travelling from Palermo to Taormina and we wanted to stop somewhere for lunch. Cefalù and its gorgeous cathedral was a perfect stop.

Awesome experience. The exterior of the cathedral looks ordinary but the interior is guaranteed to take your breath away!
