It is very rare that you are able to walk around the ramparts of a complete castle, particularly one of this size. An incredible experience with sensational views particularly from the main tower

Castigliano del Lago is a wonderful little medieval city with restaurants, shops and the Rocca (Fort) del Leone is a gem. Visiting the fort includes a walk through a museum and then into well preserved fort with truly beautiful views of Lake Trasimeno.

Nice castle with great view of the lake. A good place to drop by given the city near at the castle. Though, do not go out of you way to visit the city or the castle; do it if you are near by anyway.
