Am amazing learning experience and gorgeous setting! The wine, balsamic vinegar and truffles were to die for. We will always remember this amazing and beautiful place.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 May 2023
- Rick+JanOrmond Beach, Florida489 contributionsSimply amazing placeHave been twice now. Silvano, Rita and son make you feel like family. From the flowers to the truffles, and the wines and even the very very old balsamics. We did the tour with lunch with two different couples two different times. Oh ya I forgot the beautiful peacocks.🥰. We used the company called “hire in Italy”for our private transportation. I have personally recommended this trip to a few couples that have done it and they all thanked me. But the thanks go to everyone at Tenuta Casanova.Visited July 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 June 2023
- Lisa H2 contributionsGreat family run vineyard! We had an amazing time visiting this family run vineyard. Ricardo did a great job showing us around and educating us on the wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar production. We enjoyed an amazing meal prepared by his mom. All the wine was fantastic and we can't wait for our order of wine, oil and vinegar to arrive in Florida! We highly recommend this vineyard!Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 July 2023
- Elizabeth F1 contributionWinery TourEverything about this place was amazing. The wine, the food, the balsamic, the olive oil and especially the people. Julia our tour guide was amazing. - Matthew N1 contributionFantastic; delicious; beautiful; friendlyOur parents visited a few years ago and raved about Tenuta Cassnova, so we had to come when we visited Florence - it did not disappoint! Delicious lunch with fantastic wines and unbelievable balsamic vinegar. It was topped with a great guide, Julia, and the owner Silvano talking about what is obviously a labor of love. Completely organic farm in gorgeous location. There aren’t enough words to describe how much we enjoyed it- we will return for sure!Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 July 2023
- Jane N1 contributionMagnificentWhile most adults like wine, few adults and even fewer children understand to appreciate how it is made. Despite this fact, this trip to Tenuta Casanova is one that we have all been able to enjoy. We tried the wine that this very fine winery has produced. I found the wine rather enjoyable as it went with the fine food the people of this winery have so generously cooked for us. I see it not that this is to be the best vineyard in the Italian region of Tuscany, but the best vineyard in all of Italy. I would recommend the visit of this beautiful vineyard to all people; from Canada to Thailand.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 July 2023
- Mary Lewis1 contributionExcellentTenuta Casanova was beyond the finest of wineries that we have visited in Italy. The expertise that they have with wine and food is incredible!!! The beauty of the estate is beyond compare. We will be back. The balsamic vinaigrette that is 30 years old is a taste we will never forget!!Visited July 2023Travelled on businessWritten 28 July 2023
- CathyNew York City, New York1 contributionUnbelievable lunchtime Visit! We visited Tenuta Casanova on the recommendation of our friends for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We had the privilege of having the owner, Silvano, guide us through a tour of his private cellars and sharing his passion for not only the organic wine he produces but we also sampled his aged balsamic vinegar and unbelievable extra virgin olive oil. We enjoyed the most amazing lunch in the olive grove where Silvano paired his excellent wines with the most exquisite food made by his family in his home. We highly recommend a visit to this unique, organic Vineyard - it’s a once in a lifetime experience!Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 31 July 2023
- emptynesttraveler678Boston, Massachusetts33 contributionsBest in classWe visited 4 vineyards in Tuscany. This family seems to be the most organized and prepared for English speaking visitors. The balsamics and olive oil are to die for, the shaded Al fresco lunch among the olive trees was perfect, and of course we ended up buying some of their Merlot-centric wines. It was a lovely day and certainly one of the highlights of our tour of northern Italy.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 August 2023
- Nick S1 contributionTastebuds Were DancingWe had an amazing time for our tour, wine tasting, and food pairings! The tour with Silvano was so informative and personal. We learned so much. Then, our meal with wine pairings were delicious and so unique! Julia taught us so much again. Our favorite was the truffle scrambled eggs. And best of all, it’s all organic! We hope to come back!Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 August 2023

My husband, son (21) and I went to Tenuta Casanova today and had the absolute best experience. The owner, Silvano, gave us a short tour of the vineyard and where the balsamic is aged. Then we had a home cooked lunch - made by his wife - while we tasted five different wines. The food was unbelievable and the wines were fantastic. We have been to Sonoma and Napa in California and this wine tasting and food paring blew those visits out of the water. We wanted to do a cooking class but it wasn’t offered, as it’s the winter. But we didn’t miss out because the lunch and wine pairing was so spectacular. This is a MUST do if visiting Florence or any of the surrounding towns in Tuscany.

When we arrived at the beautiful winery, we were greeted warmly by the son of the owner. He was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about their wine and balsamic vinegar making business. After the informative tour, we were seated on a terrace overlooking their beautiful Tuscan property with an expansive view. Then we were served a multi course meal prepared by his mother while giving us generous tastings of different wines they produce. It was a lovely experience with friends!

Our tour guide brought us here and are we glad he did. A welcoming host took us through how he produces his sulphate free wine, aged balsamic, olive oil honey and lavender it was clear the production was based in love as well as commerce. Then we were treated to a fantastic lunch paired with their amazing products including white truffle. Don’t miss this experience you will never forget it!

We visited in September. 2023 . This is a beautiful and outstanding farm and winery. We had a wonderful lunch prepared by the wife (owner) preceded by a tour of the property and the cellars by the owner.Silvano. He is a former veterinarian who bought this property from the Catholic Church 30 years ago. He.was very knowledgeable and friendly. The owner’s son, Ricardo did our wine tasting during our lunch. He was very knowledgeable and fun as well. The lunch was outstanding. The wines were wonderful. The balsamic was remarkable .We shipped some of both home.. Highly recommend this for a great authentic experience.

Arriving at the farm we were immediately greeted by peacocks, peahens and the babies, ducks, roosters and chickens, a cat, a dog, fabulous views, perfectly ripe sangiovese grapes, a storybook ancient home, countless olive trees, rosemary bushes everywhere, and, of course, our wonderful host, Silvano! His life history is so interesting (a formet veterinarian), and he absolutely LOVES his life now producing fabulous organic wines, olive oil, honey, truffle oil, balsamic vinegar, etc. He and his wife live in a very beautiful part of Chianti (I'm not sure there is any part of Chianti that isn't beautiful, but this was exceptional!). We were a small group of 8 people and were treated to his tour of the grounds and a spectacular lunch, complete with a tasting of all the wines produced on this property, honey from his hives, truffle oil, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It was one of the best highlights of our entire trip to Italy!

We were blown away by this tour and tasting! This is by far the most unique experience you can have in Tuscany for wine tasting (also balsamic, and truffle, and olive oil!). Don’t miss out on this!
