Valuable Romanesque church with a Baroque façade located in the historic centre, opposite the Diocesan Museum. Having remained closed for a long period, it is still consecrated but mainly used for conferences, concerts and conventions. It was the seat of the confraternity of Santa Maria della Misericordia which guaranteed the burial, in trapdoors in the external apse of the church, of those condemned to death, after having been executed in the nearby Piazza Della Loggia. Paintings are preserved in the nearby museum. The guided tours are guaranteed by good volunteers from the Italian Touring Club.

This church is difficult to see because it is only open on certain occasions with volunteers, (in the period of Brescia the capital it is a little easier to visit) located near Piazza Loggia next to the diocesan museum, it is no longer used for masses. it is a medieval church that has undergone several transformations over time. It features medieval and Renaissance frescoes. very beautiful to look at, recommended

Visita super consigliata++

Facendo i restauri sono state ritrovate e rimesse in sesto.
