What an amazing sight in Brescia. One of the top locations in the city with the Duomo Vecchio and Catedral. You should be visiting both of them and enjoy every moment.

Amazing. It was a beautiful "center" with magnificent historical builds and a great statue. You could also look at the bell that was rang by two "dolls" made by metal. WONDERFUL! There were lots of bars nearby and the popular streets were a few meters (500) away.

This was my third visit. The square is one of the region’s nicest and easiest to visit. There’s an underground car park 5 minutes walk away.
The square is dominated on o e side by the d and the new cathedral and on the other side by classy looking ancient dwellings and businesses.
It’s a lovely place for a relaxed lunch or dinner.
I’d happily return!

Better know as Square of Cathedral , with the oldest building of the city : The Broletto. The main feature is the presence of the two Cathedrals, the old and the new. The origins of this square dates back to the Middle Ages, the name changed at the death of Pope Paul VI, the Pope coming from Province of Brescia.
The old Chathedral give you the measure of the ancient level of the square in 11th century.

Piazza Paolo VI, or Piazza del Duomo, is one of the main squares of Brescia.
It was known as Piazza del Duomo, due to the presence of the two city domes, the old Duomo and the new Duomo, it was named after Pope Paul VI, after his death.
The origin of the square is medieval, as well as some palaces that overlook it, one of which is Palazzo Broletto, which today also includes the civic tower and the loggia delle Grida, located on the north-east side of the square and dating back to the thirteenth century, it is considered the oldest public building in Brescia.

Central City Square. Here are the old and new cathedrals, as well as many cafes and restaurants. Well-lit at night.

Another day off from skiing (the joy of 10 day's!) we thought we would explore Brescia, I am glad we did as it is a charming place.
There are many piazza around the town but this one is special. There are two duomi the oldest dating back to the xi century joined with the 'newer' one. Free to enter (one can donate to the on going renovations) it is very interesting with so many centuries of history to descover.

Worth a visit even if just to take some pictures of the Broletto Palace along with Duomo Nuovo (the New Cathedral) and Duomo Vecchio (the Old Cathedral). Quite a few places to sit down in the Piazza to grab something to eat/drink!
