I love this square. The old post office is a wonderful example of italian rational architecture. Probably the best in the world after the Bauhaus period. All the city is very nice, but this place is very special

I would have expected more but there is nothing really interesting to see in the area not even a church and a catedral. The best thing was the wine shop.

The realization of this large square during fascism , in the first years of last century, government authorized the demolition of a medieval district, so many palaces, churches and frescoed houses were destroyed for this square .

Piazza Vitoria is the best starting point for exploring the city. From here everything is close. Also metro station is here if you coming from outside of the town.

This square is different than the other too. Modern buildings around, the first skyscaper - 13 floors - in Italy, and the rest is also from the 1930's years.

Walking from the train station to the Roman Temple, we came across this Piazza and I stopped! I was surprised to see this architecture as I had expected Brescia to be 17th and 18th Century in the main. It's a shame that medieval streets were cleared to build it.

There's a Metro station, underground car park, bars and a restaurant which looked good, but we didn't have time to go into.

Regardless of the history of why it's there, it's an interesting sight and clearly shows early 20th Century austere Rationalism. It immediately reminded me of the EUR in Rome.

A very nice square in the city center, which becomes very lively especially during the weekends and local or national holidays.
