Lago Cancano is a beautiful surprise at the top of the “Little Stelvio” being a 9 km climb of about 7-8% grades just outside Bormio. Great scenery and fresh air. An excellent recovery after the big rides in this area

Not an overly taxing ride, however the view looking back down on the switchbacks makes it super impressive. Close to town and an easy cruise back.

This is a great alternative cycle route to the more well known routes around Bormio. It’s very quiet in comparison to other routes which is great. And as expected the views are fantastic.

Lots of more scenic places to visit close by. But the bike ride up 18 switchbacks was cool. The ride down even better!

These lakes are specatacular! The first time we used the car to go up the beautiful, winding road. After you pass the historical towers on the top, the tarmac becomes gravel. A few hunderd meters further, the view over the lakes is fabulous. We went...More

We rode up from Bormio,. A 700m climb with lots of zig zags so a good work out. Nice MTB ride around the lakes and up to Swiss border. Plenty of rifugi for refreshment stops

This is a great place to take family with pre-teen and teen kids who like to dirt bike. It is also nice for older people, like myself, who like to walk and take in nature. This is the most important dam in the Valtellina, but...More
