Fantastic driving experience

We drove over the pass as part of a journey from Milan, past Lake Como and down to Verona and then Lake Garda. A very exciting drive up in the clouds!

Possibly the most spectacular mountain climb in Europe! Be carefoul with the traffic, lots of motorbikes and cars will overtake you during the climb.

The highest pass in Italy, one of the highest in Europe, very nice location and view, good and interesting road but not too hard to dive with any kind of bike. In addition, to reach Stelvio Pass (and to leave, of course) there is the need/pleasure to drive through a number of other beautiful passes (one day I crossed 9... More

A strenuous ride to one of Europe's highest road passes. We have hired bikes from Bormio Ski and Bike (opposite Bagni di Bormio) 3 times and we have always been happy, once they even bought in a brand new carbon fibre bike for me because they ran out of bikes. For the Stelvio Pass either a MTB or road bike... More

Stelvio Pass is probably every motorcyclist's dream. The views were stunning and the hairpin bends loads of fun. The only negative was the cycle race as it was very busy! But a must do!

Driven it a few times in various cars over the years, as I work as a journalist. It's not the best road out there, top gear got a bit too romantic about it. Try Isola 200 on the French / Italian border, that's a road!

One of those "must do once in your life" places. We were unlucky with the weather as we arrived at the summit in dense fog with no chance of it clearing! A choice of tacky souvenir shops and bars selling the obligatory hot chocolate all around. The drive up and down is amazing even in the fog, just beware of... More

I rented a very nice road bike from Bormio ski & bike in town .You leave rIght from the bike shop and start your ride to go up the Stelvio Pass. The road is narrow but I did not feel endangered. Best to bring a rear flashing light for the tunnels you go through. Pace yourself and enjoy. Going back... More

This is a must do! The road is a bit scary at times but worth it to see this beautiful part of Italy. WOW my husband cycled up here and wanted to share it with me-so glad we were able to share.
