There is steep road going up to the Castello. There are also steps leading up from the middle of town. DON'T go up the steps unless you are young and agile. They get steeper and steeper and more and more sloping and then the handrail...More

For 5 euros you can visit the museum which contains some interesting artifacts. The aquarium is small, but we saw some kids who seemed excited by the fish. The highlight is climbing the spiral staircase to the ramparts for a view of the town and...More

Quite small castle with superb views to the lake and town. They have entrance fee which includes small very interesting museum about the history, nature and geology of the lake Bolsena. The ole town itself is company but very beautiful.

It looks a lot more impressive from the outside. 5 euro per adult to enter. It also houses a museum, an observation deck and a poor excuse for an aquarium. So long as your expectations are low, you’ll be satisfied.

Historic building that has many surprises inside ....we paid 5 euros for the "packet" that included visiting the upper walls that gave a great panorama, a visit to the archaeological museum of the territory and entrance to the aquarium.

My girlfriend and I visited the castle in the morning. The aquariums with aquatic life as found in the area are nice and the exposition about archeological findings were nice as well. You have a magnificent panorama view from the tower onto the lake. A...More

A cool place to stop and enjoy the scenery. The castle is located above the old part of the town, on a great cliff. All in all simple fun.

A hidden jewel, we stumbled across Bolsena and fell in love with medieval charm, the friendly people and the beautiful views of the lake and countryside.
