Stopped in to see this church on our wanderings through town. It’s high on a hill and somewhat isolated. But there’s a lovely park nearby. No admission charge makes it easier to walk through. Not a very impressive alter but large and nice to see.

Sitting atop a hill, this imposing church dominates the town of Arezzo. We passed by but were unable to stop but can be seen from most any angle around the city.

The cathedral is high above the city next to a park and the Medici fort. Not as interesting inside as many of the churches, especially the Basilica di San Francesca, which houses the famous frescos.

Nice place as all the city of Arezzo is, during Xmas time is extremely easy to feel the ancient age all around you.

The Cathedral was impressive in its relative simplicity. Not too much gilt and decoration but still had a sense of tranquillity and reverance.

The building is impressive from the outside and beautiful on the inside. Closed for lunch we came back and were glad we did. While inside, organ music emanated from a chapel which compelled us to sit and contemplate while marveling at the sounds. Unfortunately I...More

The cathedral was built from XIII to early XVI centuries in Romanesque-Gothic style. Nice frescoes inside Beautiful Neo-Gothic facade.
