We have been skiing in some of the larger French areas and this beats them hands down for the lack of queuing and overall atmosphere. Ok it's not the largest area but the runs are lovely, well groomed and not too busy. It's also nice to he able to ski across into other towns just like some larger ski resorts but without the queuing for lifts and avoiding idiots on the slopes.
Most of the lifts are reasonably new and fast with just a few old slower lifts. Very reasonable priced restaurants compared to other resorts.
The scenery is obviously second to none especially around the lake in Alleghe.
We hired a car from Venice and it was an easy drive in less than 2 hours, we stopped in Belluno on the way back which is good for a look around.

Excellent small mountain (circa 80km) with some great runs and outstanding mountain restaurants - easy connection to Cinque Torri and Cortina for a day away.

We go to Italy every year to ski. This is the first time we came back to the same place and we loved it. This areal is not that big but all the slopes are nice, wide and great for skiing. You can choose from a big scale of activities. If you just want to ski, or eat or stop by and drink great Italian coffee. Cableways are great and you have nice views from the top of the mountain. You won’t be disappointed.

Great resort for skiing with friends and family, with a small ski park, lots of slopes from the beginning blue through intermediate red. Very nice view, well prepared slopes, we really enjoyed it.

Civetta enjoys breathtaking views all around. Lots of ski terrain available to all skill levels. Make sure to take time to enjoy any restaurant and/or tratoria around the mountains.

The people responsible for skiing have committed every possible financial and personal resource to ensure that even when the rest of Europe is bereft of snow, the artificial snow created at Monte Civetta is so realistic that you may believe it to be better than the real thing. And .... it certainly lasts longer!

A great place with well prepared slopes, helpful staff, outstanding scenery and delicious food and drink. When skiing isn't always about 6-8 hours zooming down the slopes and other aspects come into consideration like wining and dining, the scenery and the people, then you'll love your vacation in this part of Italy. Absolute magic! I will be back.

For the past 3 years Civetta become our favourite place for very skiing in Dolomites. The slopes are wide and perfectly maintained so it is a pure joy to skii all day long. We were here in mid Fabruary meaning paek season for European winter break but it seems that were no long queues at the cable cars.
We stayed at the Zoldo Alto perfectly situated if you like night skiing. Night skiing is organised to perfection on two slopes Froppe and Cristellin one red and one black run with excellent lighting system and again maintained to perfection. Would definetly recommend this ski resort to young familys.
