Most people visit this church because its tower is open to the public for 1 Euro and offers great views over Alba. Its crypt contains Roman ruins as well. What I liked best about it were the dioramas illustrating events in the life of Christ. These are found in the apse behind the high altar. They are very finely made... More

This old church offers climbs of its tower for one euro per person. It is a great experience going up the old stone staircase and then at the top one is rewarded by views over the town and adjacent area. On returning to the bottom you can go downstairs to get an idea of the history of the church from... More

This church is not like any other I have seen. It is more plain than ostentatious. History is in layers here like many places and the colors are a bit faded, but we were here to listen to music and the music added much to the atmosphere and pleasure. I highly recommend attending the music festival. Most events are free... More

We visited Alba and Asti on the same day. Of course we arrived in Alba after lunch, so everything was closed. We know this, but still we manage to plan it :p Anyway, we decided to make the most of it. Alba was deserted, excerpt for a few crazy tourists, and other than a bar and a few shops, there... More
