Absolutely fabulous! Great education. Very quick access to hunting area. The interaction with the Hunter and dog was really cool to see. Margarita could not be a better host. Do it!

The team of Albaway made it possible for me to do the tour even without a car AND even though no one else had booked for that day. And I can‘t thank them enough for that, since I really enjoyed it. I have to confess that this was my first ever wine tasting (I don’t drink wine that often, and I’m more into sweeter wine), and even if not being into wine too much, it was very interesting to listen to the different methods and how the different sorts of wine mature etc. Highly recommended! But even better was the truffle hunting. Being in nature, in those wonderful hazelnut and other forests, following the dog and its owner to find this special funghi, it was just so exciting and very informative! The truffle hunter and the guide Margherita are both so very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all questions with lots of patience! Do not miss the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!!! Thanks again to the Albaway team, the winery team and the lovely „truffle duo“ 😉…

If you're looking for a knowledgeable, beautiful experience in wine country, you've found it! Margherita gave me a ride in her car, and is true Piedmontese. She has facts about the whole region, as well as the history behind truffle hunting, viticulture, and the Piedmontese dialect. On the tour of the winery, she even jumped in to help out the other tour leader with facts. Watching Max and Kelly, you get a special window into the world of a hunter making his living, and the raising of a truffle hunting spaniel. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this tour was above and beyond. (Try the barolo chinato. For real.)…

Margarita was a lovely, knowledgeable guide. Shared some history and background of Alba in addition to visits to a local cheese shop, pork butcher shop, lunch take out spot and a gelateria.
