Took the Agrigento Hop On Hop Off bus (by the way the best way to explore Agrigento was great highly recommend it). Spent the morning here....you do need to be fit to go up and down the hills...we climbed to the top was breathtaking. Worth it.

I am sure there will be many people who enjoy this site but, being quite honest, I was not amongst them. It really is quite tricky to work out what one is looking at and, in particular, to determine what is old and what a new intervention. You also look at a site like this and despair that Italy will... It's a long public beach very nice where you can relax. The water is clear and clean. Besides if you need of something there is a very nice “Lido” (Libo Garibaldi) where you can eat. I have been in September during the week and there was really few people.

Beautiful beach. Not the best beach for swimming because of shallow shores but you absolutely must continue to the white rocks where you can take a mud bath. Makes your skin amazingly soft and removes all impurities. After you jump into the lovely warm clear water to wash yourself off. Definitely worth the visit!

Nice little beach that has very calm waters. Other beaches in area are much nicer. We were there in August during height of vacation season and was a little crowded and some trash.

This was a wonderful place to relax and swim. My teen age grandkids really loved this. We didn't visit the ruins but enjoyed the swim.

While the very small museum was well set out and informative, like many other ancient monuments the excavations had been allowed to become badly overgrown making it extremely difficult to ascertain exactly what one was looking at with the exception of the theatre.

Here you can visit the ruins and beach. The beach runs for around 7km. If you want, you can come in from Torre Salsa. The WWF zone is remarkable and the beach below is nearly empty in June. Worth a visit for beach goers.
