We travelled to Sicily for almost a week and had some very specific things we wanted to see (including some research into my husband's ancestors from Sicily), but weren't sure about what else we should do. Michele was prompt about answering emails and helped me design a trip of a lifetime. He arranged transportation on both the east coast and... More

I would just like to say a huge thank you to Michele for organising my trip and the professional way in which he responded to all my e-mails. The tour was amazing from start to finish, we had booked to start from our hotel at 9.30am, (not on their list, but no problem for them) at 9am our phone rang... More

Michele guided us in Agrigento's Valley of the Temples. He is very knowledgeable and able to communicate historical facts in an interesting manner. Bonus for us was his knowledge of Sicilian history and lore, plus his very entertaining comments with regards to "Inspector Montalbano" and the author, Camilleri. Michele was very punctual and arranged the tour in a very convenient... More

I was lucky enough to find Michele Gallo to guide a 2-hour walking tour of the Valley of the Temples one early morning in February. Michele was knowledgeable, using visual aids that he brought with him to bring the ruins to life, and sharing general information but also specific historical tidbits that added color and interest to these beautiful ancient... We had only a short while to visit the Valley of the Temples which was why it was important to have a private guide. Michele met and exceeded expectations. He is a Greek/Latin scholar and knows the history of this place in detail. We highly recommend him.

Our Inspector Montalbano tour with our driver/guide, Michele Gallo, was excellent. Michele had some inside knowledge of the TV series having had a small part in an early episode. This gave some colour to the tour. We visited every place you would want to go including the viewpoints for the spectacular opening sequences of the series. Michele was a very... More

Michele provided our family with an amazing tour experience. Our request was twofold, a tour of the Valley of Temples and a genealogy quest. Michele took us to our ancestral town, gained access to the Town Records Office and was extremely helpful in reviewing the records. He was able to locate the home of our great grandfather. He took us... More

Michele was able to accommodate our very last minute request (less than 24 hours notice). He quickly responded to my inquiry. Our tour guide Terry was wonderful. Her training as an architect allowed her to provide more than just a historical perspective of the temple ruins. She also provided a wonderful horticultural overview of the plants and trees growing on... More

Michele was prompt in reply to our last minute request for a tour in November. He was flexible with our schedule and the weather and we are so very thankful! This was our second trip to The Valley of Temples but this time we had a much more profound experience. Michele answered all our questions and told rich stories on... More

Booked this through Michele Gallo. Yes, one had to be a bit persistent in getting the initial email answered but after this the service was very efficient. We took the train from Palermo and our guide Teresa met us at the station and drove us to the temples where she provided a very good and interesting 3-hour in-depth walking tour... More
