Decided to pop down the road for a little road trip to show my parents this beautiful little gem , roughly and hour and a half give or take from Muscat it is perfectly located just off the main road to Sur. It gives you a good insight into the rough and raged terrain of Oman without having to go... More

Situated in the mountain around Quriat (the new road Muscat-Sur), Wadi Dayqah Dam offers one of the most scenic landscapes in Oman. The place is still under construction. There is a nice small park in front of the lake, where one can relax. The modest coffee shop, the clean VC and the panoramic terrace offer a comfortable stay. The view... More

What an amazing place- and not well known/advertized but definitely worth a visit! I was really thankful that our guide included this in our tour.

Wadi Dayqah, Quriyat dam on the Muscat Sur road. About an hour and half drive near Quriyat. Easy to reach and has a small park where you can spend time with family. The place has basic facilities like toilets and well maintained. As mentioned in other reviews, you will only see the water flow after some rains. Worth a visit.

You really expect to find a dam of this proportion in the Middle East. For this reason alone go and see it. About a hour and half's drive from Muscat with nice scenery along the way. There are some small snack and ice cream places at the parking area.

Beautiful place with a nice little park by the dam. The water is closed during the summer, but the place is nevertheless a beauty, especially the lake surrounded by hills on all sides.

We went many times with friends and family. There is a vast green space to sit back and relax. However, the water magic could be seen only few weeks during rain..

Nice Picnic spot and place to take a break on the way to Sur. Water will not be open all the time like shown in photo, it may be limited.
