Very small. It very interesting museum. Details the history of Oman and its inhabitants. Goes way back in history with clear descriptions written in English and Arabic.

The Natural History Museum is a gem, Really well planned and laid out with fascinating displays and information.A must for all school parties and children but also so much for adults too, who are interested in nature.

This museum seems quite new. Several great exhibits with interesting interactive technology. A really excellent way to learn about the history of the country and the region. One of the highlights of my time in Muscat.

Nice place to visit to know a little about Oman and about the development that happened to that part. It is okay to visit it if you have time. I believe there are other better places to visit if you have a tight schedule.

Great Museum - seems newly built. Well worth a visit. The 10 Minute film is giving some insight to local history and way of life is very interesting.

Lots of information about the fauna, flora and geology of Oman but the museum is sadly neglected, faded and the staff bored.

Oman had modernised so much in recent years it has entirely wiped away all of its past. This is about the only place where you can see items of clothing, weapons, household items, photographs coins and much more of how Oman used to look like...More

Our taxi driver had to be shown the appropriate page in the guidebook to find this place, and we virtually had it to ourselves. A shame, because it has a lot of information about geology and geography, and natural history, is clean and easily navigated,...More

Yes. It's actually a bit hard to find/get into the compound it is in, but there is plenty of parking. I recommend using google maps to help you get there.
