This is a fascinating place to visit. The mine dates back to at least roman times and you can go on a walking tour of the mine. Special thanks to Alison our guide, who made it a memorable experience.

Pan for gold ;) and then take the guided tour. Very entertaining and informative with a scrummy cafe after the one hour tour.

there are walks to be had that are separate from the mines . I'm sure dogs on leads would be welcome .
