I had only a brief visit to this lovely church overlooking Loch Awe. It is a photographer's dream, unfortunately because of the weather I did not have my camera with me.

What a surprise! We found this unexpectedly wonderful Kirk during a trip in Scotland. It makes it even more enjoyable as it is a bit hidden away alongside the Lochside road.

Lpch Awe hotel where I was staying is situated on the main road with the main attraction being the stunning loch side location. The kirk is a short distance from the hotel and pavement walking and care crossing the road is essential. The kirk appears...More

Church built from a surfeit of interests, ideas and collected pieces of all sorts. An amalgam of symbols and styles that catch the eye. Definitely unique and worth a look.

Beautiful building set on the stunning Loch Awe. Stopped by to stretch the legs and get a minutes peace from the other half. Absolutely perfect location to relax. Lots of great history and information available too!

A wonderfully weird Kirk with a riot of styles. A great place to visit. We enjoyed the building and its eclectic interior, with an interesting back story - have a look-see.

This place was built in 1930 but in medieval castle style, so it does look and feels like an old castle. Beautiful location on the water, great place for pictures and finding out about the history of the surroundings.

Found St Conan's Kirk by accident and what a stroke of luck. It is simply stunning inside and out and a must see. It even has a wee cafe for hot drinks and cake next door.
