Dunmore Town on Harbour Island is relatively clean, safe, friendly, with several hidden charms that beg to be explored. There are secure marinas and resorts such as Valentines and Romora Bay. There are upscale restaurants and local bars with cold Kalik and Sands beer. Conch fritters are usually very good with an absence of the usually heavy bread filling. Local... More

Golf carts are a-plenty here. It seems that they are the preferred mode of transportation on island and there ain't nothing wrong with that considering the town and island are not too large. Some history here, a bit of shopping and more than a few restaurant options. The famous beach is on the Atlantic side of town and the small... More

We went with a relative who's a history nut. I guess if you're like him, you might enjoy it. 12 bucks to see a house of the time with a guided tour about Wilson who really didn't spend much time there.

The sights walking thru Dunmore Town were pleasant. Don't visit in September if you looking for nite life and shopping. This is the perfect time for those who want the entire pink sand beaches to yourself! If you want to strictly relax and enjoy the Sun visit now. Finding food near the dock was a quick walk and people were... More

This is the main drag on the island. Its small and easy to navigate. Take your holf cart. The local restaurants are (ie not the resorts) and have great food and beer gor a real bahama experience. Its rustic and authentic. No upscale resorts.

This city is a small city that you can visit using golf cart, but we preferred to walk along the small ways focusing on different houses and constructions

It was just the four of us (my sister, brother-in-law, husband and me) in this amazing place called Strawberry House in Dunmore Town, Harbour Island. Our room had a private bath with its own entrance to the pool. It was lovely! We found the Lighthouse Church of God around the corner from our house. It is known on the island... More

Dunmore Town, Harbour Island is a special place. Dusty streets and gas-powered golf carts. Few cars. Locals and visitors work, eat, and play close together. It is not fancy or modern, but there are many beautiful parts and luxury can be found in some of the inns, restaurants, and private homes.

Drove around town in a golf cart which was really cool. It was neat to explore some of the small shops and talk with the locals. Found a few nice beaches. And some beaches that were a little dirty too. Great place though!

It is a small town but was so much fun to explore on our golf cart. Don't be afraid to poke your head into any shop that looks interesting.
