An absolutely amazing place! Awesome scenery which would impress at any time of year. Short walk across grassland from parking on a side road. Views to the rock and the rest of the bay were stunning.

Any further exploration across land can be a bit tricky to be able to view at closer quarters the cormorants on the rocks; not suitable terrain for those who have walking difficulties. Certainly those visitors should not attempt to get down to visit the cave or pebble beach via the steep, narrow paths. However they can still see the rock or walk on the easy grassy coastal path alongside the bay and then to view Cullen.

Highly recommended.

My wife, child and I took a drive on Sunday along the Moray Coast Trail to see Bow Fiddle Rock.

Thankfully, we had a cracking day for it. Situated on the north-eastern coastline of Moray, this natural sea arch is basked in history and formed in such a way that it resembles the tip of a fiddle bow.

The structure has undergone years of erosion and weathering and to this day, homes an array of different Gulls.

The area itself was fairly busy on Sunday with pedestrians climbing to different viewpoints. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit - it was an absolute privilege to witness something so eye catching and still in it’s natural form.

Went down to the rock several times while we stayed in Portknockie and it looked different every time owing to the tide and the light. Such a beautiful place. The coastal path along to Cullen was breathtaking and well worth the effort.

On our way back from the splendid Craigmin Bridge by Drybridge, Buckie, we stopped here for a fine wee coastal walk. You can drive and park fairly close to the beginning of the walk. Not long before you're overlooking this splendid rock formation. Wellies were ideal for the terrain. Watch out for the cliff edge.
Benches to sit on and take in the ambience. No litter spotted. I carried on a short distance to then be able to see along the coast towards Cullen and way beyond towards Fraserburgh. A lovely walk.

Lovely sunny day today after the early morning rain we decided to travel to Portknockie. This was a great decision to go and see Bow Fiddle Rock and was lots better than what I had originally thought. We had a great time and the surrounding views were amazing. Would recommend!

Great rock, in my top three rocks of all time (very competitive category). Lots of paths with nice wildflowers from which to appreciate all of its rocky glory. Nice to observe, heard a rumour you can kayak through it in calm seas…?

On our tour of Scoland, visiting relatives. We finely made it all the way up to Buckie. After a short rest and a beer we went for a strole. And we were shown around and saw Bow Fiddle Rock. What a delight. There are a few similar ones dotted around the coast, but this one has the largest hole I think. Well worth the walk.

Gorgeous part if our country. Take time out to visit this little gem. Can be seen from the top which has easy access for most or can go down closer to get a better view and more secluded. Beautiful structure which we managed to see on a beautiful day

We were going from Inverness to Aberdeen and hubby has wanted to see this rock for ages. Easy to find post code takes you there and it's sign posted. There is a car park and it's no more than 2 minutes walk to the rock. You can even go down to the beach area. Very pretty.

What a beautiful place.
Well worth the drive and the drive up from Aberdeen is lovely.
Be careful on the cliff path, but the best shots are from the bay itself.
Slippery rocks at low tide, but an easy path to get there.
