Beautiful beaches with loads of activities and plenty of delicious restaurants. You can walk around to Cuvette beach one way or to The Beach House bar for a real treat of a restaurant.

We had a little stroll as we visited Grand Baie, that included having a little wander about the beach, admiring the views and taking a few photos.

The nearby Cuvette beach is better for sunbathing. This is better for a relaxing stroll and the views.

The beach at Grand Baie is one of my favourites - it’s not very wide or long but the sand is very soft & the water clear. There is plenty of shade under the trees that line the beach. Here you will also find food stalls & places selling sarongs, hats, bags etc… There are lots of nice boutique shops & eating places very close by too.
Lots of boats are in the bay, many scuba diving places too & you can charter tours from here.
Very picturesque.
Well worth a visit.

Beach in the center of GrandeBaie.
As i learned , there is no private beach in Mauritius, all are public. This one is very handy being in center and small ambulant eateries around. Could be more clean and with facilities such as sun chairs and umbrellas. I prefer La Cuvette Beach , just 10 minutes walking from center.

Hi Everybody!
The beach is cosy and clear. There are lot of shells(not alive)on the beach, Can I take them to EU or this is banned?

You have to bring your own beach "furniture", but there are benches in the shade and 1 chap has occasionally provided sun loungers, but judging by how few were used, probably overpriced!! There a few little eatery stalls for local snacks and cool drinks. The water is great to swim in and a great place to watch the yachts and boats go in and out. It gets busier at the weekends with the locals, but that is quite charming watching the kids play and listen to home grown music.

A friend of ours spoilt us by taking us around the north and east side of the island. Wow is the only way to describe the sea, beaches and the sky. Changing all the time. An artists paradise. We visited tucked away beaches, crossing tiny bridges and sandy roads. These unspoilt and spectacular spots far from tourists. What an experience and blessings to have had this opportunity with Yassir Taker 😍. Photography by Yassir Taker 🙏

It is a good beach off Grand Baie. You have lovely views and you can have a nice stroll while eating street food.

What lets it down is that you have boat traffic. Catamarans, speedboats, fishing boats. So it is not a beach you really want to swim in.

Very relaxing place early morning but it picks up in the early afternoon quite a lot. Wouldn't want to be here late morning and afternoon during high season. Really packed the. Lots of places to sit and have a drink right off the beach too
