Reviewed yesterday NEW

This was my first introduction, coming from the South Island, into the geothermal activity on the North Island.... this was very cool to see the steam rising from just about anywhere you looked. Very cheap to get into especially compared to the Rotorua and Taupo areas I got to later!!!!

We enjoyed the leisurely walk around the hot pools etc outside, this is something that would be good for all ages and abilities as long as you stay on the path! The paths are well maintained and clearly marked showing where you can and can't go. And it's free! We opted for a private bath which was lovely and a... More

I love this place. First visited 1987 after a school ski trip. I usually stop if I'm in the area. It's not flash but it's lovely. The walk around the thermal area is lovely too

How nice to see such thermal activity and for free. If you are looking for thermal pools to view then this walk is a must. We didn't go into the hot pools so I am not sure what they were like we just did the walk.

It's lovely sitting in these pools, the staff are super & it's inexpensive. Sometime soon a paint refresh would enhance this great asset to Tokaanu! Thanks for having us!

Even if it's raining it's a great place to stay. With the spa pools to relax in and the short walks if you want some exercise, it is a delightful place to just "be". I love reading and Roger loves watching Tv so we weren't bored.

Friendly staff and clean, well-maintained facilities always make this an enjoyable, relaxing post-activity occasion whenever near Turangi. Rejuvenating after the Tongariro Crossing, skiing, tramping or just plain relaxing.

We chose the public pool that we had to ourselves for half an hour. The water temperature was just perfect. What we saw of the complex was absolutely spotless. There is a small pool for the under fives and their care givers. The staff were friendly and helpful. My joints havn't felt so good in months. We loved this place

Have been coming to these pools for over 30 years and in that time not much has changed. In some ways this is nice. Its not super busy, over commercialised and noisy but its also in desperate need of some renovation! Had a private pool which was adequate in size but had a very noisy pipe going out of the... More

Enjoyed our time at this pool area. There are private pool rooms but we used the big communal one outside. Nice and hot, clear and relaxing. At $6 pp, good value.
