Stunning, a gift from Mother nature. Whilst this is only a 3 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu, it is ideal to stay at least one night in one of the many beach villas you can book accommodation with, then sit back and enjoy the gorgeous Sunsets. The area has recently been upgraded and it is now even more if a sort after tourist location. Lots of covered tables for those that bring their own food as well. Good sized car park. Short walk on a very well paved path leads to the globe statue and then into an instagram worthy view . Even a nice signs you can take photos under stating you're at the Most northern part of Borneo

To see the actual scenario of the two seas meet, the Sulu Sea and the South China Sea; and the majestic currents and waves created, this is the place to feel and see. The sunset is absolutely fascinating.
A landmark of Borneo!

The tip viewpoint itself is not the only reason to come. The beach next door, we see the tip about a mile away from our sandside bungalow, is one of the best in Malaysia, like Perhentians without the crowds. Nothing on the peninsula's West coast islands is in same league. Never tempted to swim anywhere on Langkawi or Penang, let alone Melaka state etc.

We are very picky about beaches with very exacting standards of water clarity, cleanliness and lack of ruinous overdevelopment that has rendered so many beach paradises of the past into dystopias. But not here at Ohigak beach which is still in its prime. Hope the long drive from KK keeps it that way.

The road has recently been resurfaced and is much better than the highways around KK so dont be deterred by the pothole horror stories. No public transport also keeps the masses away.

And as somebody else mentioned, the sunset viewing is World class and you'll be alone unlike at Shangri La or Tanjung Aru beach. These were taken last night.

Borneo was an absolute heart break. All the forests are gone and replaced by palm oil. Besides if you go to the heart of the island there are still some intact reserves. The beaches were LITEERED with plastic bottles. I mean build up mountain of plastic bottles. Its such a tragedy. Borneo and its animals deserve more.

Kudat was nice with fresh air and many beaches with clear water. Tip of Borneo was fabulous. The surrounding beaches are beautiful.

The Tip of Borneo is the northernmost tip of Borneo located in the district of Kudat, in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. The tip marks the meeting point of the South China Sea and Sulu Sea.

Beautiful coastal views and amazing landscaping and land mark can be seen at this fascinating scenic spot. Visitors can drive right up to the car park, and walk comfortably to the edge of the ‘tip’. There is a trial going down from the ‘tip’ down to the reef; but strongly advise that children and seniors are refrained from doing so. When there is high tide, no one should go down.

Such a beatiful place & good memories there. Taking snapshots at the main attraction spot.
However, the road condition to the place is not well maintained. Small sedan vehicles or motorbikes may struggle to reach it. Should improve & promote this place from time to time.
The beaches & some resorts as well as restaurant are also not well maintained.
Better to improve it as this place has its distinctive advantages in Kudat.
