Great for all specially children . Within museum there are kids size dressing up clothes ,replicas of metal armour ,helmets and enormous shields which can be donned . Also playmobile soldiers and figures within an arena ,and even a playmobile Roman galley . Exhibits for...More

Please note that the Museum is currently closed until Autumn 2019 for essential roof maintenance...but there's still plenty of things to see and do in Caerleon!

So happy we visited here. So many artefacts and informative. Loved it. Could spend hours wandering around. Having the reenactor there was very knowledgable. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable to. Thank you.

It is easy to spend an hour or more in this wonderful museum full to the rafters of artefacts from the Romans, we are so lucky to have these amazing finds in Wales. And its free..I think it may be closing for a few months...More

Yes although a donation box is by the front door, this helps to keep them going.
