Montecueva Asuncion De La Virgen is located at the tip of the hill. Taking the 535 step one at time gives a feeling of let-going any personal baggages to strengthen one's faith!

Monte Cueva is a small cave converted into a Chapel found only in Southern Leyte. Masses held during scheduled days especially Good Fridays & Sundays. People from all walks of life come & visit the place.

I go there to pray with my sis & nephew. . It's a lot of steps but it's worth it. The shrine is so pretty & calming. Beautiful view of Maasin City & Bohol Island.
