The Mechanics Institute is often used for the various charity functions taking place in the village of Eyam. There is always a good atmosphere at these functions and very often free live music played by local villagers - excellent.

There's not many places where you can have a good pint, play pool/darts/snooker and / of watch sky sports in the area of Eyam. Go in January when it is Panto time or the last week in August when it is Carnival time.
