Great fun, spectacular caving. The clear blue/green waters are simply awesome, the speleothems magnificent and the passage shapes wonderful.

We visited the Krizna Jama with a 4 hours tour and it was really beautiful. We think that the short tour is limited and a lot of the beauty of the cave is lost however, better than nothing. The guide we had, Igor, was very...More

This cave is quite small and accessible only by a car. The stuff though is super nice, the tour guides are very knowledgeable and have an interesting way of explaining. Don't forget to dress up appropriately as it is cold inside the cave even in...More

We decided on Krizna instead of other two more well known caves: Postjna looking too touristy with the train, and Skocjan forbidding photos. That was one of the best decisions of our lives! It is a REAL cave - no lights but your headlamp, silence...More

We came to know about Križna jama when searching for caves in Slovenia. The cave is around 30 kms from Postojna and not very expensive if you hire a cab. We went for the 4 hours tour to Calvary but this needs to be booked...More

Unlike the other famouse caves like Skocjan and Postojna, this cave is more genuine and less touristic. There is no electricity inside the cave (you get torches) so the shole feeling is different, as if you are about to join a research deligation....you also get...More

Due to heavy rain much of the passage in the caves were unpassable, however as we were the only ones our tour guide showed us a few other things. Also experienced total blackness. Do not do this tour if you have ever watched The Descent,...More

A few months before our trip to Slovenia we booked the 4 hour tour. Unfortunately the tour was cancelled because of the heavy rains and flood in some parts of the cave. Gasper was fast to answer all the booking emails and kept his promisses...More

Krizna cave is different from other caves in Slovenia. It has only few stalagmites and stalactites but it has some unique features. It has no lights, so the visitors have to carry flashlights (included in the admission ticket along with rubber boots). The whole thing...More

The 7 hour tour is ideal for speleologists and professional cave explorers and might be too much for the casual cave explorer or tourist. The 1.5 or 4 hour tours offer plenty of information and cave experience.

Eva is correct. Right in front of the "office" and its free. Just make sure you have a tour scheduled. You cannot enter the cave without being part of a tour and the office is only open if there is a tour scheduled.
