Grew up by this beach so I cannot say anything bad about the beach other than watch out for the undertows since they can be deadly. Great beach for surfing, boogie boarding and simple trying not to be wiped off your feet by the waves!!...More

It is a rugged beach. Yes, I wear a wet suit when I swim here, even most days in the summer. The rocks are not fun to sit on, but are so beautiful! The waves are often spectacular! Much care must be taken with children...More

This is not the best beach on the Eastern Shore but it is close to Halifax/Dartmouth and a favourite of surfers.

Put on your wet suit and bring your board. This is the place for surfers near Halifax. The beach is pebbled and often foggy but it is wonderful just the same.

Really nice beach as it stretches long. it is quite stony so bring something to sit on. Great for watching the big waves and surfers even on a cold day

It's a great beach to explore - good walks to be had along the shore and the salt marshes on the other side of the road are good for additional bird watching.

This is a nice beach with fun waves. However, if you don't like the cold do not expect to enjoy the water, you have to let your limbs go numb before you can enjoy the waves.

I live about 15 minutes from Lawrencetown and it has always been my spiritual place to decompress, relax, stop and smell the roses. It is a "cold" beach, not meant for those of you who like to like on the beach and roast...you can do this, but you will...More

A great spot to enjoy the afternoon, sitting on the beach, walking the trails, jumping the waves, surfing and swimming. The sunsets are beautiful. Temperatures are lower than the city it's a good idea to have a sweater, just in case.
