this a great beach to take the whole family too. Great for surfing playing Frisbee taking your dog for a walk just lying on the beach listening to the waves crash and getting a tan
I visit every chance I get, 1st week of Jan temp a mild 0 degrees, hoar frost on the grass, tide going out, slight surf and sunny. several people with their dogs that were kind and respectful. If I could set up a tent I would have. Quiet, serene, clean. I go and feel rejuvenated. I would love to buy... More
Enjoyed walking along the beach for miles and also watching the surfers take advantage of the great waves. Can watch the cruise ships come into port in Halifax as well as many naval ships in the horizon. Great place to watch the sunrise and sunset.

We had a great time on this wonderful Beach. the facilities were closed so there were not a lot of People out. the water was very calm for the area and noticed how the recent storms have pushed up a lot of stone. There are several great Hiking trails in the area with easy access from the Beach. Do enjoy.
Nice beach, good waves and a good place to watch surfers. Ample parking when we went. It's a bit rocky at first but there is sand for you to lay on.

I recently biked there along the Saltmarsh Trail, part of the the Rails to Trails network and it was a lovely ride, along level trails through the saltmarsh area. The beach is normally cool, so it is lovely to go visit on... More
