About
We showcase contemporary sculpture featuring some of the most exciting artists working in New Zealand today. Discover a dynamic exhibition of over 60 large-scale sculptures set in a sublime landscape of towering native trees - majestic palms, a precious kauri forest and established native bush alive with birdsong. The 2 km sculpture trail meanders past lakes, vineyard, forest and open pasture, and offers unexpected intimate views alongside stunning panoramas. Be challenged and delighted by the carefully curated selection of sculpture. Discover works that float, move with the wind or sunlight, or produce an unexpected sound experience – the trail will certainly appeal to all ages. Explore the annual Brick Bay Folly project which is inspired by a quirky interpretation of an architectural ‘structure’ and challenges young architects to stretch wide their imagination. All sculpture is for sale and The Glass House also hosts an indoor gallery with small works from leading NZ sculptors.

    Taste of Brick Bay
We enjoyed another lovely lunch at this picturesque venue today. The food was absolutely delicious (especially the tiramisu), the staff attentive and charming and the wine tasting paddle pleasing to the palate. We had walked the sculpture trail not too long again so only dined today.

Peaceful and magnificent walk through diverse artwork
The trail is beautiful, the artwork is magnificent and it all comes together in perfect harmony. We only had about 50 minutes to do the trail, when we had planned for 1.5 hours. I’d say definitely give yourself 1.5 hours and 2 hours would be easy to spend there.

    Amazing day out
What a wonderful day at the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail! Easily accessed from Warkworth and well signposted, we spent over an hour walking the trail with our three year old twins. The track was well looked after, with sacking put down in muddy/slippery parts. There are some steep parts but easily tackled by our three year olds. There are steps so it's not stroller friendly or accessible. We had lunch at the winery after and I would definitely recommend this to treat yourself afterwards!
Dear Hinehou, Thank you for your glowing review! We're thrilled to hear that you and your twins had a memorable day exploring our sculpture trail. We hope to welcome you back soon. Warm regards, Tom

    Fantastic walk along beautiful sculptures
Loved every minute of this trail. A beautiful walk through the forest and fields while surrounded by amazing sculptures. Each one just as amazing as the last. My children received a trail map and pencil to mark off each sculpture found which made it so exciting for them to ensure they found each one. Very beautiful and amazing friendly staff. Such a great low price too! Highly recommend.

    Plenty to enjoy!!
Some fascinating sculptures in enjoyable quiet, natural bush settings. I particularly enjoyed the few 'hands on' /interactive sculptures and also the 'music in the bush', while my wife really enjoyed the whole walk! We luckily learned about the attraction from a flyer in our accommodation... Unfortunately like most things in NZ, there seemed to be a fairly sizable price increase recently ( now $18pp for the walk) which was a surprise, but the Brick Bay walk was a welcome addition after enjoying the Sculpturiam previously in Matakana.

A stunning walk, with a diverse selection of sculptures in the most mind-blowingly beautiful setting. Allow at least an hour to appreciate the artwork...it does keep changing, but the sculptures we saw were amazing.

Having been here with family several times many years ago, much enjoyed the food and memories; so decided to visit again for nostalgia's sake while passing by the area. Thought I'd try the food again or at least the sculpture trail (for good times sake since it was so memorable last time!). Unfortunately left with bitter taste in mouth due to rude front of house staff (middle aged lady). Was told no table available for single person, which was fair enough, given the need for reservations, however did not appreciate the rude mannerisms, dismissive tone and didnt even bother even looking up front the desk- as if I was a massive bother for even asking nicely! Made to feel extremely unwelcome like I wasn't "worthy enough".

Noted that infront of me, there were a group of people of a certain skin color/demographic, with also ?no reservation, however they were treated much more welcomingly than I was, and from what I observed, accommodations were made for them! As well as the demographics of majority of people who were dining inside. Vibes of skin color/background discrimination, if you ask me! I am usually not one to be "overly sensitive", but I'd trust my gut when I experience it! Have read similar reviews of others on this place...which is terribly unfortunate! Didn't even bother going for the trail after that.

The only extra star I gave was just for the good memories sake, but I'd be taking my business elsewhere and not returning!
