Nice walking

A beautiful place for a walk. Good wide tracks, fairly flat. A bit too manicured for my liking but you can go off the more popular tracks where it is quieter.

Good walking, good facilities at start and end. Terrible spot if you have no sense of direction. There is signposting in spades, no words only numbers!! The challenge is to find out where which trail leads where. The map at the cycle shop is useless and expensive.

This is a lovely place to go for a walk in the area. The cafe serves a variety of panini, toasted sandwiches, etc which are reasonably priced and nice. The cakes looked lovely but I didn't taste any.

We come to delamere Forrest frequently.. always a joy to walk and take a breather from the business of life.. nature is stunning - there is a cafe on site but I think it should be easier to access hot drinks in the winter etc - it's easy to get lost so a string of small cafes wouldn't go a... Had a beautiful day out here with my family. We hired a bike each to explore the forest. Would recommend for couples or family and bring a picnic with you.

Delamere Forest clears the soul. Just stunning. I love being there; the kids can run free and investigate the natural world around them.

We had a great day out walking in the forest. The autumn scenery is absolutely stunning this time of year and it's perfect for casual walking as it's dry and not too cold. Park up on "Gresty waste on the A556 where it's free and walk over the hill through the woods to the forest along the Sandstone trail.

We had researched before our visit and decided the follow the Blackmere Trail, it turned out to be a wonderful woodland walk with a great variety of wildlife to see and hear. The walkways are clearly marked and easy to follow with marker posts along the entire route. Parking is easy and plentiful with pay and display machines available, a... More
