I have frequented this wonderful little theatre, many many times. It is a smaller stage than most other theatres but that adds to the intimate atmosphere. The actors very often enter the stage from different parts of the theatre, which again adds to an air...More

This continues to be a wonderful theatre. Since my last review it has been great to go to performances now the seats are numbered. Also I've enjoyed the high stool seats on the 3rd/back rows on the ground floor level, and would choose them in...More

Saw matinee performance of 'Sheppey'. A great place. Theatre in the round. An intimate theatre experience. Comfy padded bench seats. Bar area is pleasant but rather small and cannot accommodate many. There are steps up to the entrance and the toilets are down a flight...More

Second time at the Orange Tree & another wonderful evening. French Without Tears was excellent. Little places like this need support but you will not be dissapointed. Combine with an overnight stay, plenty of lovely restaurants to chose from.

This is a great little theatre and well worth a visit with a good pub next door as there are limited catering facilities on site. That is no problem as there are plenty of places for a drink on the high street and there is...More

Went here to see a very good production of Terence Rattigan's play "French Without Tears". It is a small "in the round" theatre located in an old primary school which has seen some modern refurbishment but which sadly lost its Arts Council funding two years...More

We saw the philanderer by George Bernard Shaw recently together with a concert by the Allegri String Quartet at the Orange Tree. Both were excellent in their own ways. The Philanderer is an interesting exploration of relations between men and women and was well acted...More
