Came in search of some peace and good vibes, not disappointed. The stones are simply stunning! There’s a small parking area right opposite so brilliant if you don’t want to walk too far. They are tucked behind a couple of houses (how envious am I!)...More

Its one of the great hidden gems surrounding the Liskeard area (it's not located in Bodmin as the address suggests, but overlooks the village of St Cleer, at the start of the moors, about three and a half miles north of Liskeard). However, what really...More

Magnificent ancient monument, much more impressive in the flesh. Worth a look if you are in the area, or if like us, seek it out if you love Neolithic structures.

A very well preserved Neolithic burial chamber in Cornwall, managed by English Heritage. The drive is an adventure in itself, on those narrow Cornish lanes. Parking is available with a few bays on the island in the middle of the intersection, on the north easterly...More

Trethevy quoit is really worth a visit and is beautiful overlooking St Cleer. It is now in the care of English Heritage. Just please remember that this is basically a grave so treat it with respect.

We really had to work to get to this, roads were closed due to roadworks, didn't help either. Access is up a single track road, we followed a tractor that filled the space, right up to his farmyard by the monument. On arrival there was...More
